Every bride, companion, press contact, and guest deserves to use this website and visit our atelier with ease. Here is where we stand — and where we are still working.

Our commitment

Maison Rima is a personal atelier. We believe that searching for your wedding dress should feel welcoming — not effortful. We are committed to making both this website and the physical space on Azmi Street as accessible as possible to everyone, regardless of ability, device, or circumstance.

We hold ourselves to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a working target for this site. We are a small team, and we take each issue seriously when it is raised.

The website

We have built maisonrima.lb with the following accessibility measures in place:

• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) are reachable and operable using only a keyboard.
• Semantic HTML — we use proper heading hierarchy, landmark roles (header, nav, main, footer), and descriptive link text to support screen readers.
• Alternative text — all meaningful images include descriptive alt attributes. Decorative images are marked alt="" to be skipped by assistive technology.
• Color contrast — text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
• Reduced motion — scroll animations and transitions respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. When this preference is active, motion is suppressed.
• Responsive layout — the site is fully usable on screens of all sizes, from mobile phones to wide displays.

Known limitations

We want to be honest about where this site is not yet perfect:

• Decorative animations — some editorial sections use layered animations that, even with reduced-motion applied, may still render a single visible transition. We are aware of this and working to ensure the reduced-motion path is entirely static.
• WhatsApp integration — the WhatsApp inquiry buttons rely on JavaScript. If JavaScript is disabled, these links will not function as intended. Direct contact is always available at info@maisonrima.lb.
• Video content — any video featured on this site may not yet have closed captions or an audio description track. We will add these as content is produced or updated.
• PDF documents — any downloadable PDFs (e.g. care instructions, lookbooks) have not yet been fully audited for screen-reader accessibility. We will address these on request.

The atelier

The Maison Rima atelier is located on the ground floor of our building on Azmi Street, Tripoli. There are no internal stairs between the entrance and the fitting rooms.

• Step-free access at ground level
• Companions, family members, and assistants are always welcome to accompany you
• Appointments can be scheduled at quieter times of day on request
• If you have a specific requirement — seating, timing, sensory needs, or anything else — please let us know when you book and we will do everything we can to accommodate you
